TMZ has confirmed Aaron Carter, a musician and actor, died. Our sources say his body was found in his bathtub on Saturday at his home in Lancaster, California. Several law enforcement sources told us that a 911 call was made at 11 AM on Saturday about a male who had drowned in his tub.
TMZ reports that law enforcement officials told them that the death of Aaron was the subject of homicide inquiry. However, no evidence of foul play has been found and the death hasn’t been ruled a homicide. As is standard procedure, homicide detectives investigate deaths involving people they know well. This is because the crime scene is surrounded by caution tape and law enforcement officers and paramedics are on standby outside Aaron’s house.
Aaron became famous in the late 1990s as a pop singer. He released four albums between his self-titled debut album in 1997 and his fourth album in 2000.
Aaron earned a Nickelodeon gig after selling a million copies for his first album. He released a second album called “Aaron’s Party” and it sold three times as many copies as his original release.
Aaron toured with his older brother Nick as a member of the Backstreet Boys during their peak popularity.
AC started acting in Broadway shows as well as appearing on the TV show Dancing With The Stars. Later, he released music that was classified as rap.
Aaron had many legal and substance abuse issues over the years. One of his episodes was on The Doctors years ago when he talked about all the pills he was taking. He went to rehab several times and has a son named Prince.
