A KDKA-TV report claims a police officer died and another was injured during a shooting in Brackenridge.
A Brackenridge Police Chief, Justin McIntire, died on the scene after an officer-on-officer shootout in Allegheny County. According to police sources, McIntire was shot dead while his colleague suffered a leg wound. Both officers were hospitalized after the incident; one of them was in stable condition while the other was critical.
Confrontations between law enforcement and McIntire were reportedly reported Monday. Apparently, one of the confrontations ended with gunfire exchanged between both parties. Sources also indicated that McIntire had been wounded during the exchange and authorities are currently hunting for him.
28 year old Aaron Lamont Swan is considered armed and dangerous to police. They say he is 28 years old.
A suspect wanted for shooting two law enforcement agents in Brackenridge is being sought for allegedly operating a Subaru Legacy with a “be on the lookout” alert attached.
Authorities issued a “be on the lookout” alert for Lamont’s 2014 silver Subaru Legacy with Pennsylvania license plate GMA8620. The carjacking victim was not injured by the vehicle.
In 2018, McIntire climbed the ranks from patrol officer to sergeant before being promoted to chief.
