Bebe Winans dead and obituary,  American gospel and R&B singer – cause of death

Benjamin “BeBe” Winans is an American gospel and R&B singer. He was a member of the famous Winans family, most of whom were also gospel artists. Winans has released nine albums, seven with his sister CeCe, BeBe & CeCe Winans and one with the three Winans brothers.

Winans released several albums, first as a collaboration with his sister CeCe and later as a solo artist. Jim Bakker’s TV show, The PTL Club, was intrigued by BeBe and his sister CeCe as backup singers for the show. After going to North Carolina to audition, they were accepted. The siblings moved to PTL’s North Carolina campus and remained in the program for about five years.

While at PTL, BeBe and CeCe recorded the PTL Records show “Lord Lift Us Up” by popular demand. Ultimately, success required another endeavor: a full-blown album. The album did well on the charts. BeBe and CeCe left PTL to pursue their singing careers and recorded five albums together, including the self-titled BeBe & CeCe Winans, Heaven, Different Lifestyles, First Christmas and Relationships. In 1995, BeBe and CeCe broke up and started solo. But in 2009, they made the album Still together. It featured the song “Closer to You”, which won a 2010 Dove Award in the Urban Recorded Song category.
