A dog described as “dramatic” threw a tantrum in a video that has attracted more than 2.1 million views.
In the TikTok video, Odin, a 10-month-old American bully, can be seen standing in the yard leaning against a fence, whimpering and panting.
“I went to get the trash, he thought I didn’t take him for a walk,” the caption read, “so dramatic.”
Odin’s owner, Hannah, a social worker in Pennsylvania, told Newsweek, “He can be very dramatic. The bully breed wears their hearts on their sleeves, so some would say they’re very dramatic. This is the first time I’ve heard him howl! He’s a big silly kid! He loves cuddles and even though he looks scary, he loves everyone.”
Neither the Kennel Club nor the American Kennel Club recognizes the American Bully as a purebred dog, nor does it list them on their registries.
There has been some controversy surrounding the breed, as its popularity has led to a lot of irresponsible breeding in recent years.
The American Bully breed was officially recognized by the United Kennel Club in 2013. The UKC reports that the American Bully breed “evolved as a natural extension of the American Bulldog” and was influenced by several other breeds, including the American Bulldog and the English Bulldog.
They report, “The American Bully breed can be identified by its distinctive compact, strong, stocky structure and conformation. Their appearance reflects a strong American Pit Bull Terrier foundation mixed with other bull breeds.
