Dwight Yoakam dead and obituary, musician, actor and film director death

Yoakam began his career in the mid-1980s and has since recorded more than twenty studio albums and country compilations, including more than 13 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and has sold more than 25 million records. He has recorded five top-five albums on the Billboard charts and one number-one album on the same chart, in addition to being certified with twelve gold and nine platinum albums, including the triple-platinum “This Time.”

He is one of the musicians with the most appearances on the hit show “The Tonight Show.”

Yoakam has also appeared in several films, including Sling Blade (1996), Panic Room (2002), Hollywood Homicide (2003) and The Three Tombs of Melquiades Estrada (2005), Crank (2006), Bandidas (2006), Dirty Girls . (2010) and Crying Manhood (2021).

Yoakam began dating photographer Emily Joyce in late 2010. They became engaged in 2011 and married in March 2020 in a private ceremony in Santa Monica, California. Their son, Dalton Loren Yoakam, was born on August 16, 2020. 2​
