Garry M. Godfrey, 37, died at his home on April 17, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with Alport syndrome, his son and family All by his side. Garry was born on 27 August 1984 in Bangor to Lisa (Ketch) Dillen and Michael Godfrey.
Gary lives for Paul and his son Brenton. They’re not just father and son, they’re best friends; The Three Musketeers. Garry loves playing NBA on Xbox with Paul and on the phone with Brenton. He loves racing and loves his Seattle Seahawks.

Survived by his sons Paul and Brenton; his mother and stepfather Lisa and David Dillen from Greenbush. Father and stepmother Michael and LoriAnn Godfrey from Ohio; four brothers Sean-Paul, Steven, Alex and Justin, all from Ohio and sister Crystal from Massachusetts; two nephews, David and Cody, and two nieces, Brianna and Lilly; “Grandburger” Wanita Ketch with grandmother Janet Godfrey; best friend Jarred Worley, the special nanny he talks to all the time, Sandra Olson, and finally his true love Erica Robinson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded by brothers Mark and Michael Godfrey; uncles Mark and Timothy Cage, grandfathers Clarence Cage, Martin Godfrey and David Dylan; grandmother Nana Marie Dylan
The interview will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with storytime starting at 7:00pm. The 7pm story will be live-streamed on the Birmingham Funeral Homes Facebook page. The funeral will take place on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua, New Hampshire. Gary will be buried with his brothers Michael and Mark, and some of his ashes will be interred in Passadoo at a later date Gould Ridge Cemetery in Mkig.
