American rally driver Ken Block died in a snowmobile accident in Park City, Utah on January 2 at the age of 55. “Ken was a visionary, trailblazer and icon. Most importantly, husband and father. We will miss him greatly,” his team, The Hoonigans Racing, said in a statement on his Instagram account.

The American rose to fame for his spectacular driving demonstrations called Gymkhanas. An almost cinematic exhibition, Bullock showcased his expertise at the wheel. A few months ago, the current Audi driver with whom he was recently signed, performed an electric car demonstration on the streets of Las Vegas, which was viewed nearly 6 million times.

Although his sporting career was less than successful — he competed in WRC events and another World Rally event — he was a pioneer at the media level, especially on platforms like YouTube. On his team channel, Hoonigan, he has over 5 million followers, and on his profile, he has almost 2 million followers.

Not only is he one of the most famous rally drivers, but he is also an avid skateboard, motocross and snowboarder.

How did Ken Block get injured?

According to the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Bullock was riding his snowmobile down an incline when the tilt caused him to lose control and roll over on top of him.
