Keep it real Lindsay Arnold shares what she really thinks about her postpartum body after she and husband Sam Cusick had their second child. On Sunday, May 7, the 29-year-old “Dancing With the Stars” pro wrote on her Instagram Story, according to Mirror-Selfie: “For this body and what it did to bring that little girl here Proud of everything.” Wearing navy sweatpants and a maroon tank top, Arnold showed off her bandaged tummy less than a week after giving birth to daughter Joan by C-section.

The “You Think You Can Dance” graduate, who tied the knot with Cusick, 30, in 2015, later updated her life at home with her baby in another Instagram story, joking that June “poops a lot at night.” Arnold also praised her and eldest daughter Sage, two, for being a big sister who “fucking killed it.” “She’s literally just entertaining herself and chatting and coming over and kissing June every now and then,” she shared on Monday, May 8. “I’m really proud of her.”
After experiencing fertility issues, Arnold announced her second pregnancy in October 2022. The dancer gave birth on Wednesday, May 3, and revealed the baby girl’s name and other details about the experience a few days later. “The little girl came out first and I could see most of the deliveries through the plastic curtain, which I couldn’t see on Sage,” she wrote on Saturday, May 6.
The choreographer went on to reveal that Joan’s umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck six times, calling the situation “a very scary and shocking moment for everyone in the room”. She told her followers that “Joan is struggling,” adding, “We’re so proud of her and love her so much.”
Arnold and Cusick became parents for the first time in November 2020 with the birth of Sage. “The most beautiful surprise on this very special day 💕💕,” she captioned a photo of herself and her husband in the delivery room. “Baby girl and mommy are healthy and doing well 💕 More details to come, but I wanted to share our first photos of our little family.” A week later, the Utah native was trying to style her “favorite” “Looked at her postpartum body while #kindredbraverly was born,” adding that she “seriously underestimated the importance of a good nursing bra. “
For years, Arnold — who won the Mirrorball trophy with partner Jordan Fisher on DWTS Season 25 — hasn’t been afraid to denounce mom-shamers. “I applaud everyone who really thinks it’s ok to comment or criticize other people’s parenting styles,” she wrote in a January 2021 Instagram Story post. “Why? Why do we do this to others? Especially when we don’t people know.”
Later that month, she told Us Weekly EXCLUSIVELY of her decision to go public with her information. “I said something because I want people who think they can sit at home and judge other people and try to put them down, just to know that’s not good,” she said at the time. “We have to strengthen each other. We have to be supportive. We have to be loving. If you don’t have anything to say, shut up. [That] is my mindset right now.”
Arnold went on to gush about her more than 10-year run on the competitive series, explaining that traveling between Los Angeles, where the show is produced, and her home in Utah was one of the main reasons she chose not to return. “This show changed my life forever and will always mean the world to me,” she wrote in August 2022.
