“We are devastated and surprised by this sad news that all staff at Algodoneros de Guasave Baseball Club are united in praying for the eternal rest of our teammate Matt Pobereyko, who ceased to exist this morning,” the Sinaloan Club lamented. .

Saraperos de Saltillo, who was on Pobereyko’s team in the Mexican League, mourned the Hoosier’s death in addition to clarifying that a heart attack ended his life.
