On October 15th, 2023, Owen Stevens Clark peacefully departed, cradled in the loving embrace of his parents. In his vibrant 16 years, Owen embraced life with an unparalleled zest, always seeking adventure, relishing challenges, and spreading joy to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy that is cherished by his devoted parents, Reuben and Sara Clark, along with his siblings Sean, Ella, and Quinn. Owen is also survived by his grandparents, 32 cousins, and 22 aunts and uncles. In the midst of this expansive and affectionate family, Owen carved out his unique place in the world.

Renowned for his unwavering passion for mountain biking, Owen found his bliss both on the trails and tinkering in the garage with his beloved bikes. Whether constructing jumps, navigating favorite trails with friends, or participating in the Oak Ridge High School Mountain Biking team, Owen’s heart belonged to the thrill of riding. His love for airborne adventures manifested early in life, as he constantly sought to flip and fly, whether on a bike, trampoline, bridge, or cliff. Yet, Owen’s joy wasn’t solely in his own exploits; he reveled in helping friends conquer the same daring stunts, ever the supportive companion.

Owen’s spirit was a force of independence, fearlessness, and boundless confidence. A true creator, artist, and music lover, Owen lived life in high gear, always on the go. His insatiable curiosity and enthusiasm for knowledge were infectious, as he eagerly shared his discoveries with those around him.

Beyond the larger-than-life persona, Owen’s true essence shone in his thoughtfulness and spirituality. A loyal and caring son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend, he was a relentless encourager who uplifted others. Rejecting any notion of being “too cool,” Owen embraced friendships with all, fostering positivity and inspiring those in his orbit to reach their fullest potential. His memorial, a celebration of a life well-lived, will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sacramento Temple Hill, 2100 California Cir, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742. Owen’s presence is already deeply missed, but his legacy of love and encouragement lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by his remarkable spirit.
