ISLAMABAD: A private video allegedly shown to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Pervaiz Rasheed has drawn backlash from politicians, journalists and social media activists
Senator Mustafa Khokar, leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), did not name Rashid or mention the viral video, but posted a cryptic tweet defending the politician and Legislator’s Privacy.
Azhar Mashwani of PTI also condemned the video, apparently blaming the powerful circle behind it.
Some PTI officials have suggested by leaking the alleged Pervaiz Rasheed video that certain circles are preparing to attack Imran Khan in a similar fashion.
The authenticity of the video could not be independently verified, but some friends of Pervaiz Rasheed said it was fake.
Pervaiz Rasheed is the latest target of an alleged leaked video.
A video call allegedly leaked by PML-N leader Pervaiz Rasheed went viral on social media on Monday.
In another worrying moment across the country, the allegedly offensive leaked video continues to spark controversy.
At the latest, the alleged video appears to be a recording of a video call showing a former federal minister engaging in lewd activities with an unidentified woman in a semi-naked state on a smaller screen.
The alleged 27-minute video, which appears to show Perviz Rashid, is now circulating on social media.
