Peter Strube obituary and dead, CRNA who graduated from St. Mary’s University 

Meet Peter D. Strube, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who earned his master’s degree from St. Mary’s University School of Anesthesia in 2006. Peter’s journey in healthcare began with an undergraduate degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning, he was awarded the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) in June 2017 and completed an MBA in December 2020.

A retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Army Nurse Corps, Dr. Strube has a distinguished military service record, having been mobilized and deployed four times during various military operations, including service in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Currently, Peter serves as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Program Director at Newman University. Beyond academia, he is the owner and operator of Trollway Anesthesia, providing crucial services to several critical access hospitals. Peter’s expertise extends to the national and international stage, where he speaks professionally and shares his insights through authored articles and training programs.

In addition to his academic and professional contributions, Peter actively supports his community. He tutors at-risk Nurse Anesthesia Residents on their anesthesia boards, contributes to the Wisconsin state association board, and has served as AANA Region 3 Director. Peter’s commitment to community service is further demonstrated by his role on the Mount Horeb Board of Education and his position as a Commissioner on the Dane County Ethics Board. Moreover, he serves as a court-appointed mentor for veterans in crisis.
