Prag pucnjava, prague shoo charles university prague today shooting

A shooting took place at a university in the center of Prague, leaving many dead and dozens injured. The shooting took place in the philosophy faculty of Charles University, in the center of the Czech capital.

More than 15 people were killed and the bodies of those responsible for the massacre were found on the sidewalk, police chief Martin Vondrašek said at a press conference.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Thursday expressed his condolences to Czech Prime Minister Petar Fiala and the Czech people over the attack on Prague University in which 15 people died.

“I am deeply shocked by the news of the deadly shooting in Prague. This is a terrible loss of innocent lives.

Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and friends. “I express my deepest condolences to (Czech Prime Minister) Peter Fiala and the Czech people and wish a speedy recovery to all those injured,” Plenkovic said in a post on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter.

In a new address to the media, Police Chief Vondraszek said that the police suspected that the murderers of the Philosophical Academy were responsible for the murder that took place two days earlier in a forest near Kranowice, not far from Prague.

An adult man and a newborn baby died there. His accusations were also corroborated by Minister Vit Lakusan, who stated that it was currently impossible to determine whether he carried out the massacre using only weapons that he legally possessed.

“At 12:20 we received information that a 24-year-old man committed suicide and was heading to Prague.

The speaker confirmed that the number of victims exceeded 15 and further stated that the perpetrator was inspired by similar acts of violence in other countries.

During the conference it was announced that the process of identifying the victims is still continuing. As for the perpetrator, I cannot confirm the exact cause of his death. “While it appears to be a suicide, there was also law enforcement involvement,” he said.

After a two-hour evacuation of the Charles University Faculty of Philosophy building on Celetna Street, police headed towards the Trg Jana Palacha building. Authorities have stated that there were no further shootings and there is currently no evidence to suggest the individual had accomplices.

Footage of the attacker, captured on camera while he pointed it at his victims, is widely circulating on various social media platforms. Law enforcement officers responded to the shooting incident by sending several rescue teams to the scene. Given the severity of the situation, it is anticipated that a significant number of people have been injured and the police department is committed to releasing further updates as soon as possible.
