Rakesh Kamal dead dover murder, Family’s deaths in wealthy Massachusetts

Police are probing a tragic incident in a wealthy Massachusetts town that claimed the lives of a couple and their teenage daughter, treating it as a case of “deadly domestic violence.”

Dover police, situated approximately 19 miles west of Boston, responded to a 911 call around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The call was made by a relative who had stopped by to check on the family. Upon entering the home, they discovered the bodies of an adult male, an adult female, and their teenage daughter.

The victims were identified as Teena Kamal, 54; Rakesh Kamal, 57; and 18-year-old Ariana Kamal, a student at Middlebury College, according to Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey, who spoke at a press conference on Friday.

While a gun was found near Rakesh Kamal’s body, the cause and manner of the deaths are still under investigation by the medical examiner’s office, Morrissey stated.

Morrissey emphasized that this incident underscores that domestic violence can occur across all economic and social strata. He noted that there were no prior reports of violence, domestic issues, or police involvement at the address.

“There’s been no police reports, there’s been no problems, no domestic issues, no nothing at that house or in the entire neighborhood that I’m aware of,” Morrissey said. “This is very unfortunate and our heart goes out to the entire Kamal family on this terrible tragedy.”

While investigators are in the early stages of their inquiry, they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the Dover community linked to the deaths.

“Although the investigation is at a very preliminary stage, the evidence available at this time does not indicate the involvement of any outside party, but suggests that this is a deadly incident of domestic violence,” stated the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office. Dover is considered one of the wealthiest communities in the state.

Investigators processed the crime scene throughout the night.
