Dr. Ryan Calvi was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California. Before joining Berks Oral Surgery, he practiced in South Burlington, Vermont for four years. Dr. Calvi is a Diplomate from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Calvi enjoys snowboarding/skiing, working out, traveling, craft beer, and spending time with his wife and two kids.
He graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in chemistry and a Ph.D. Calvi then earned a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder, and then a dental degree from the Temple University School of Dentistry in 2011, graduating summa cum laude. He then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship, followed by a 4-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Christiana Care Health System and Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in Delaware, where he served as a senior Senior Physician. There, he had the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of maxillofacial surgery; including Oral Surgery, Temporomandibular Joint Diseases, Oral Pathology, Treatment of Complex Facial Trauma, Office Anesthesia Services, etc.
The clinical interests of Dr. Calvi cover all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in particular Maxillofacial Trauma, Tooth Extraction, Alveolar Dental Surgery including Implants, Cosmetic and Office Anesthesia. He is currently a medical staff member at Reading Hospital.
