Shatrughan Prasad Sinha is an actor and politician from India. He is a member of the All India Trinamool Congress, also known as TMC, in his role as a Member of Parliament. Sinha was elected to Parliament in 2009 and was re-elected in 2014 and 2019. As a Member of Parliament, he represented Patna Sahib in the Lok Sabha for four terms, from 2009 to 2014 and from 2014 to 2019. He represented the Rajya Sabha from 1996 to 2002 and the Atal Bihari Vajpayee cabinet from 2002 to 2008 as a member of parliament. He also served as Union Cabinet Minister of Shipping and Family Welfare during the 1996 Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He served as a member of the standing committee on transport, tourism and culture; he was also a member of the consultative committee in the ministry of external affairs and overseas Indian affairs from 2014 to 2019. Sinha is the youngest of four brothers; he was born in Patna, Bihar, to Bhubaneswari Prasad Sinha and Shyama Devi Sinha on July 15, 1946. Sinha has a Bachelor of Science degree from Patna Science College after being born the youngest of four brothers: Lakshman, Ram, Bharat and himself. The Film and Television Institute of India Pune awarded him a diploma in acting. Currently, they offer a scholarship in his name to students who have finished the diploma. Arjun Kumar married Poonam Sinha, also known as Miss India, after moving to Mumbai. They have two children.
Sinha acted as a Pakistani military officer in Dev Anand’s film Prem Pujari. Later, he appeared as a police inspector in Sajan filmed in 1969 by Mohan Sehgal. Prem Pujari’s first movie was Sajan, which was pushed back until it was released. After that, he portrayed villains in Pyar Hi Pyar, Banphool, Raampur Ka Lakshman, Sultan Ahmed’s Heera and Vijay Anand’s Blackmail.
